What are your delivery rates, and is there free delivery.?

Depending on the locations, delivery fee of $8 or $12 is applied for orders below $80. We offer free delivery for order (in a single a receipt) above $90. 

 

Why do you not charge a flat delivery fee and your charges are higher than others?

We rely on 3rd party providers (Lalamove, Grab etc) to deliver our bakes to you. We felt that a flat delivery charge is not fair to others who stay nearer us, Therefore, we concluded 2 charges based on different areas.

What is the size of your chiffon cake?

6 inch (equivalent 8 slices). This size is perfect for small families and we discourage to store the cakes for long.

 

Is it really true you use natural food to flavour the bakes?

We always priortise to use natural food (bananas, freshly squeezed pandan juice, pure sesame seeds/ powder, tea leaves etc.) to flavour our bakes, unless a stronger flavour is required, then we add minimal flavouring.

 

Are the bakes dairy free, gluten free, or vegetarian?

All of our bakes contain dairy and eggs and so they are not vegetarian. Though we use low gluten flour but it is still not recommended for people who have a gluten intolerance. Please refer to the detailed list of ingredients here.

 

Are your bakes halal?

No. However, our bakes do not contain pork/ lard.

 

Can I request for even lower sugar for the bakes?

We are specialised in low sugar bakes. It has been widely accepted that our low sugar level is adequate. Should you have tried our bakes before and still prefer an even lower sugar content, you may make a remark at the checkout comments box for further reduction. We will bake it accordingly.  

 

Why are some dates are not available for selection?

As the cakes are hand made, there is a limitation to the number of bakes that can be produced each day. The order limit for the day may have been reached. Please select another day or do contact us at enquiry@thehomepantry.sg should you have further queries

 

Do you accept corporate/ bulk orders?

Do contact us at enquiry@thehomepantry.sg if you need to order for an event. Our Valrhona Minis are perfect size for dessert table and tea parties. Cookies are perect for door gifts too.

 

How do we store the bakes?

Our chiffons, muffins, brownies are made without preservatives and additives, hence it is best to consume as per the date stated on the box. Refrigerate on the day of collection to maintain freshness. Discard if unusual smell or taste has been detected. More information can be found at "Storage & Serving Instructions".
